From a local flower to the local municipal building
Sultanbeyli is an entrance point for the ones who come from Anatolia to Istanbul from E80 highway. Thus, the location of the new municipal additional service building for Sultanbeyli should be a unique design that welcomes and shows the rich culture of the city. The logo of the municipality is an abstraction of the Istanbul sensis flower, which only grows on top of the Aydos Hills located in the middle of the town. Because of this unique and well known characteristic of Sultanbeyli, the conceptual design of the new building is also an abstraction of the structure of the Istanbul sensis flower. The mass of the building is fragmentized by creating deep cuts, used as balconies in each 3 floors. Two main facade system is used to emphasize the fragmentation.
