An iconic skin for recreations

On a steep hill in Maltepe on the asian side of İstanbul, a client wanted a design for an open office building. The size of the site forces the design to be thin and tall, with its main orientation facing the prevailing view of the area. In turn because of the orientation, the glass box needs protection from the sun. This gives way to the opportunity to make an iconic skin that does not obstruct the view for the building's workers. The double facade also connects the office mass to the retail base, and allows the design to include semi-open spaces for recreational activities.
