An urban center program of cultural, commercial, \r\nhousing and industrial setup after the de-centralization of the \r\nKüçükçekmece industrial area.
The Project, afar from naming the main transportation access that divides the area in two as a problem, aims to use it as an advantage. These two urban components move paralel to each other on the north and south axis as they take recreational green spines that are rich with cultural functions to their central core. the Parralel setup -as the fluxes are prefered to transpose- deteriorates near the geometric central point of the area so that the 2 urban components intersect and the transfusion between each sides is made to occur at the very urban center.
On the functional level, the neighbourhood area has a big stock of housing blocks, so the outer rim is designed with the new habitational strategies, and as a result a relationship with the current stock and the new is intended. Coming from the outer rims to the central core, we have the recreational and cultural spine and after that getting in touch with the main transportation line, we have commercial and office blocks on the east side, high tec industrial setup with research programs and the educational setup integrated with the university on the west.
Every boulevard (commercial, habitational, industrial and educational, recreational and cultural) is built on varying strategies to form a sustainable urban guide. The blending and hybridization of every function is operated through the green boulevard -which every function runs into-. Therefore the most urban part of the project, is the green spine itself.
