Chorsu Complex Regeneration Master Plan

Chorsu District Masterplan: Revitalizing a Silk Road Legacy

Chorsu District in Tashkent stands as a living testament to the Silk Road's enduring legacy—a vibrant nexus where commerce, culture, and community converge. However, the district's rich history is juxtaposed with contemporary challenges: disorganized trade practices, congested traffic, and a lack of cohesive infrastructure. These issues hinder Chorsu's potential to serve as a dynamic urban center. Our vision for Chorsu transcends traditional urban planning. We propose a comprehensive masterplan that reimagines the district as a sustainable, culturally enriched hub. This transformation aims to celebrate and preserve the essence of the Silk Road while integrating modern urban functionalities. By intertwining the historical tapestry of Chorsu with forward-thinking urban design, our masterplan aspires to unlock the district's full potential. This endeavor not only aims to resolve existing challenges but also to set a precedent for sustainable urban development that honors cultural heritage.
